Aegir was a dancer
You could trust for a song
For as long as it's been written
He has always carried on
And he loved the warm Melina
Who would stand by the sea
He'd listen to her singin'
Every mornin'---

Aegir and Melina
Shared the sea and the land
He'd wave his graceful tail
And she would wave her gentle hand
The legendary friendship
Of a dolphin and a girl
Is echoed in these waters
Every mornin'---

They'd both sing together
And they'd fly through the sea
Aegir and Melina
The ocean's harmony---
And he loved to see her smile
And she loved his haunting song
Like the gentle voice of angels
And the ocean's mighty horn---

Melina left one morning
She had never known such pain
The mighty dolphin silenced
Like he'd never sing again
So the people came together
To the sea by the shore
Where the broken hearted dancer
Swam alone---

And they all sang together
And they called for his song
Singing, "Falling down is something else,
But holding on is more."
And he longed to see her smile
And she pined to hear his song
Like the gentleness of angels
And the oceans mighty horn---
